Vesper is a responsive DLE 21 template for sites with films, series, cartoons and anime. It looks like a big streaming service: light pages, a dark header and cinematic covers, horizontal poster rows with arrows and a film magazine.

Highlights

  • The film page comes alive: a muted YouTube trailer plays in the background, one button turns the sound on. No trailer — a still from the film slowly drifts.
  • Home: an “Editor’s choice” slider with title logos, “New”, “Premieres”, “Series”, “Top 10”, “Exclusive” and “Most watched” rows, genre tiles and a magazine with sections.
  • A hover card on posters: synopsis, quality, age rating, runtime, ratings, likes and a “Watch” button.
  • “Search / Filters” catalogue without reloads: genres, countries, years, dubbing, IMDb rating, quality, search by title and cast, sorting and “Show more”.
  • A separate watch page with the player, seasons and episodes.
  • Personal area: favourites, “Watched”, likes, series subscriptions, messages, profile.

Styled pages

Every DLE page: home, categories and catalogue, full story, search, tags, favourites, profile, private messages, registration, pop-up login, password recovery, add news, statistics, feedback, static pages, threaded comments, polls, print version, “site offline” and 404. Plus a magazine with its own cards and article page.

Bundled plugins

The template ships with the “Vesper: extras” plugin, which adds what DLE itself lacks: catalogue filters and search, the watch page and “Already watched” with its own “Watched” page. The code is open.

Together with DLE Movie Importer PRO

In the “Extended” version the site fills itself: films and series with a player, seasons and episodes, actors and directors with photos, collections, franchises and new-episode subscriptions — all styled to match. Without the module the template works the same, these sections are simply absent.

Fonts and Font Awesome icons are bundled, no external requests.

  • Trailer background

    The film page plays a muted YouTube trailer from a template field in the background; one button turns the sound on. It pauses when scrolled away; without a trailer a still slowly drifts.

    A catalogue without reloads: several genres, countries and dubbings at once, year or decade, IMDb 7+ and 8+, HD, search by title, actor and director, four sort orders, a result counter and “Show more”.

  • Watch page

    The “Watch” button opens a separate dark page with the player, seasons and episodes and the discussion. The film page stays light and keeps its canonical address.

    An “Already watched” button on the film page and a personal “Watched” page in the user menu; guests are offered to sign in.
