DLE Reviews PRO

DLE Reviews PRO brings viewer reviews and full reviews to a DataLife Engine movie site. Each film gets a block like the ones on big movie portals: the average score and vote distribution, the share of positive reviews, short reviews and detailed full reviews, “Helpful?”, spoilers kept hidden, and a separate page with a discussion for every full review. Supports DLE 21.0.

Highlights

• Short and full reviews. A couple of sentences, or a detailed text with a title — a full review gets its own page, its own URL and comments.
• A rating system you choose. On first run: continue the DLE rating (stars, like / dislike) so the vote in a review becomes the post's vote, or use an own 1–10 scale with quick rating without text.
• Order without manual work. Moderation before or after publishing, trusted authors without checks, stop words, similar texts, vote spikes, reports, rejection reasons the author can see.
• AI opinion summary. “Praised” and “Criticised” across all reviews of a film in one paragraph, plus help for moderators: spam, insults, spoilers.
• Built for search. Movie / AggregateRating / Review markup for rating stars in results, a review feed, best of the month, author pages, a separate sitemap.
• Looks like part of your site. A modern minimalist block, light and dark themes, accent colours and corner radius set in the admin panel with a live preview and contrast check.

How it works

Put the {reviews} tag into the full story template and the block appears under the film. The first reviews and the summary are rendered straight into the page HTML (search engines see them); everything else — rating, “helpful”, the form, comments — works without reloading. The block is cached and does not slow the page down: in tests a post loads equally fast with and without the module.

• DLE rating — the module continues what already works on the site: old votes and the {rating} tag stay, the score in a review is a vote for the post.
• Own 1–10 scale — a separate system with a 1–10 histogram, quick rating and an average that can be written into an extra field for sorting.

Features

Block on the film page

• Average score, number of ratings and reviews, histogram, share of positive reviews and a mood bar.
• “All / Full reviews / Short reviews” tabs, filter by type (positive, neutral, negative), sorting: most helpful, newest, positive or negative first, a “No spoilers” switch.
• “Helpful? yes / no” with counts, pinned reviews, the editors' opinion in a separate block.
• Spoilers: mark a whole review or use the [spoiler] tag inside the text — it stays hidden until the reader opens it.
• “Read more” for long texts, “Show more”, a link to a review, one-tap report.
• Kinopoisk and IMDb ratings from extra fields next to the summary.

Form and authors

• A “Short review / Full review” switch, character counter, title for full reviews, a “contains spoilers” mark, closing comments on one's own full review.
• Authors can edit their review within a set time or delete it; one author — one review per film.
• Guests — optional: name, email, consent to data processing, and the captcha selected in DLE settings.
• Permissions by user group: read, write short and full reviews, rate, comment, report, publish without moderation.
• Notifications to the author by PM and email: published, rejected with a reason, new comment on a full review.

• A full review page with its own URL, breadcrumbs, description and social media preview.
• Feed of new full reviews, best of the month, author ranking, author page, all reviews of a film.
• Widgets via template tags: latest and best full reviews, the summary in short stories, reviews in user profiles.
• Own sitemap, canonical, noindex for thin and filtered pages, 301 to the correct URL.

Moderation and protection

• Modes: everything checked first, newcomers checked first, check after publishing; trusted groups without checks.
• Review list with filters (status, format, type, author, marks, date), bulk actions, rejection reasons from a list.
• Reports with an auto-hide threshold, an authors screen with “always moderate” and “ban from writing”, an action log.
• Stop words, similar text detection, duplicates, reviews-per-hour limit, rating freeze on sudden spikes, account age, honeypot field and fill-time check against bots.

AI

• “Praised / Criticised” summary for films with enough reviews — refreshes itself as new opinions arrive; it can be edited by hand and pinned.
• Moderator assistant: a hint, auto-publishing of clean reviews or rejection of obvious spam; spoiler marking.
• OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Grok, Perplexity, YandexGPT and compatible APIs, a fallback provider, proxy; runs via cron or in the background on visits.

Tools and compatibility

• Turn DLE comments into reviews (long ones into full reviews), convert scores between scales, move DLE votes to the 1–10 scale, recalculate totals.
• CSV export and import, user data on request: export, anonymise, delete.
• DLE Multi-Language: review language, showing only reviews in the page language, AI summary in every language.
