DLE Quiz PRO

DLE Quiz PRO brings trivia quizzes, “Which one are you?” personality tests, polls and checklists to DataLife Engine, the way Playbuzz once did. A quiz is attached to a news post or becomes a post in the feed itself, people can answer right in the card, and under the quiz everyone sees who took it and how they did. Visitors earn points, climb the leaderboard, collect badges and share their result on social media. Both your editors and your users can create quizzes, with group permissions and moderation. Works with any template and DLE 15.1–21.0.

Highlights

• Four quiz types. A trivia quiz with correct answers, explanations and a timer; a “Which one are you?” test with character results; a multi-question poll with percentages and a custom answer; a “Which of these have you done?” checklist showing the share of people who ticked each item.
• Quizzes right in the feed. A poll is voted on in the news card, a trivia quiz shows its first question in the card too, and “Continue” takes the visitor into the post, picking up where they left off. The card shows “Completed · 8/10” and “Taken by: Alex and 3 more people you follow”.
• Real people’s results under the quiz. “Top scores” and “Recently taken” with avatars and names, your result and rank, “better than N % of players”, and a review of your answers.
• Leaderboard and badges. Points for every quiz taken, a leaderboard for the week, month and all time, stats and badges in the DLE profile and next to comments. Badges, their conditions and descriptions are set up in the admin panel.
• “Share” with a result image. A dedicated 1200×630 social image with the person’s result, Telegram, VK, WhatsApp, X, Facebook, OK and “Copy link” buttons; a friend following the link sees “Alex scored 9/10. Think you can beat that?”
• A quiz becomes a post. The builder creates a news post in the chosen category with tags, and the post status follows the quiz moderation. Ratings, comments and subscriptions work as on any regular post.
• Users create quizzes. A friendly builder on the site: a nice category picker with search, tag suggestions, steps and an autosaved draft. Permissions, quiz types and a daily limit per user group, with optional editorial review.

How it works

A quiz is made in the builder, in the admin panel or on the site’s “Create a quiz” page. You can attach it to any news posts, insert it into the text with the [quiz=ID] tag or publish it as a post in the feed. Under the full story the quiz appears on its own, and a single {quiz-inline} tag puts it into the feed card.

Answers are checked on the server: correct answers are not visible in the page source, the timer runs on the server, and suspiciously fast runs land in “Suspicious”. Guests can play if you allow it; points and badges are for signed-in users.

Quizzes

• Trivia: one or several correct answers, images for questions and answers, an explanation after each answer, showing the correct one right away, at the end or never.
• Results by the share of correct answers (“A true movie buff!”), and for “Which one are you?” by answer weights, with an image and text.
• A timer for the whole quiz or for each question, questions one at a time or as a list, shuffled questions and answers, random questions from a question bank.
• Polls: several questions, a custom answer, results after voting, always or only after the poll closes.

• A quiz page: a catalog filtered by type and sorted by “New”, “Popular” and “Contests”, the leaderboard and “My quizzes”.
• Template tags: {quiz}, {quiz-inline}, [quiz]…[/quiz], {quiz-block} with new, popular quizzes and contests, {quiz-top} for the leaderboard over a period.
• Badges and leaderboard rank in the profile and next to comments.
• Restricted categories and private DLE Communities PRO communities: only those who can see the post can see the quiz.
• An “Appearance” screen in the admin panel: four styles (modern, classic, minimal, bold), light, dark or site-matching theme, your template’s color or a custom one, rounding and density, with a live preview and no template editing. Block templates in .tpl are copied into your template with one button.
• Your template’s dark theme, phones and keyboard navigation work with no extra setup.

Admin panel

• Overview, Quizzes, Moderation, Results with CSV export, Badges, Suspicious, Settings — on native DLE screens in English, Russian, Ukrainian and Spanish.
• A “Quiz” tab right in the add and edit news screens.
