ChatGPT Rewrite DLE is a free DataLife Engine module that rewrites news with ChatGPT (OpenAI): it makes texts unique, writes the meta description, keywords and tags, and fills extra fields. It works right in the news editor, in bulk over hundreds of items and by itself on cron. It is a lighter edition of Rewrite & Quality PRO on the same engine: everything about rewriting with ChatGPT works here without limits.

Key points

  • Free, with no limit on volume. You only pay OpenAI for requests, and the module shows the cost in advance.
  • Every field of a news item. Title, short and full story, meta description, keywords, tags and any extra fields, each with its own prompt.
  • The text does not break. Links, images, video, code, DLE tags and your own words stay untouched.
  • Buttons in the editor. Rewrite a field, get several title variants, restore the previous text with one click.
  • In bulk and by cron. Filters by category, date and ID, a cost estimate before the run, automatic processing of new news.
  • Nothing gets lost. The previous text of every news item is kept in History: roll back one item or a whole run.

Features

Rewriting

  • Rewrite strength (light, medium, deep), tone, length and output language; presets for news, movies and articles.
  • Your own prompts with {title}, {short_story}, {full_story} and {xfield_…} variables; key phrases the AI weaves into the text.
  • An empty short story is written from the full text.
  • Fragment protection: links, images, video and iframes, code, BBCode, [xfvalue_…], DLE service tags and your own word list.

ChatGPT

  • Models: GPT-6, GPT-5.6, GPT-5.5, GPT-5.4, o3, GPT-4.1 and GPT-4o; the list is refreshed with the “Refresh models” button.
  • New models change the request rules, so the module drops outdated parameters and retries by itself.
  • Server in a country OpenAI does not serve? There is a proxy setting for requests, and the module tells you when the provider refuses your region.
  • Clear errors: what happened and what to do — wrong key, limit, server country, provider overload.

Bulk processing and cron

  • Hundreds of news items per run with pause, stop and resume; “Maximum news items” for a trial run.
  • Only news on moderation, only non-indexed, older than N days; skip already processed items and items with errors.
  • Cron: its own actions, categories, limit and run time, stop after a series of errors.
  • After rewriting, a news item can be published and allowed for indexing.

History and log

  • History: previous versions of news and rollback; Runs — roll back a whole bulk run at once.
  • Log: every request with model, tokens, cost and the AI response; filters and CSV export.
  • Interface in Russian, English, Ukrainian and Spanish; DLE 15.1–21.0.
  • Earlier versions of the module update in place: settings, prompts and processed-news marks are carried over.
